COMPANIES: WORK PERMITS

Applying for a work permit

Expat life can be exciting and Singapore is a great place to relocate to. As an international financial hub, Singapore has a strong reputation for expat life and is known to be a very safe city with one of the lowest crime rates in the world. Moving to Singapore has its perks but first things first – you’ll need a valid work pass to work or study in Singapore. Whether you are a professional, skilled worker, student or dependant, there are various kinds of work passes depending on your needs and eligibility.

Professionals

If you’re a foreign professional, manager or executive, we can help you apply for an Employment Pass (EP) on behalf of your employer in Singapore, subject to the requirements from the Ministry of Manpower (MOM). A Personalised Employment Pass (PEP) may be suitable if you’re a high-earning existing EP holder or foreign professional. If you’re a foreign entrepreneur keen to start and operate a business in Singapore that is venture-backed or possesses innovative technologies, an EntrePass may be suitable for you. The Overseas Networks & Expertise Pass (One Pass) also has you covered if you’re top in business, arts and culture, sports, as well as academia and research.

Skilled and semi-skilled workers

There are various kinds of passes for skilled and semi-skilled workers including S Pass (for skilled workers), Work Permit for migrant worker (for workers in the construction sector) and Work Permit for migrant domestic workers.

Trainees and students

If you’re a foreign professional coming to Singapore to undergo practical training, you may require a Training Employment Pass. Students and graduates who want to work and holiday in Singapore can do so with a Work Holiday Pass (under Work Holiday Programme) for 6 months.

Family members

Spouses and children of eligible EP or S Pass holders may apply for a Dependant’s Pass, while parents and common-law spouses of eligible EP or S Pass holders may apply for a Long-Term Visit Pass.
